Edensteel first anniversary giveaway — terms and conditions

1. The promotion

A free prize draw to celebrate Edensteel's first anniversary. No purchase is necessary and no payment is required to enter or to claim the prize.

2. Who can enter

Open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over. Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, and anyone else professionally connected with this promotion are not eligible to enter.

3. How to enter

Entry is free. You can earn up to two entries:

  • One entry - comment and like the giveaway post on Instagram and follow @edensteel.co.uk on Instagram.
  • One further entry - subscribe to the Edensteel email list at https://www.edensteel.co.uk/pages/first-birthday-giveaway.

You can do either or both. Two entries per person maximum. Multiple, duplicate or automated entries will be disqualified.

4. Closing date

Entries close at 11:59pm on 10 August 2026. Anything received after that time will not be included in the draw.

5. The prize

One 600mm corten steel water bowl, supplied with liner, worth £192. Free delivery to one UK address is included.

There is one prize and one winner.

There is no cash alternative, and the prize cannot be exchanged, transferred to another person or substituted for anything else.

6. The draw

The winner will be drawn at random — names pulled from a hat — on 11 August 2026, Edensteel's first anniversary. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. Telling the winner

The winner will be contacted by email within 3 working days of the draw, and announced on Edensteel's Facebook and Instagram.

The winner must reply within 7 days to claim the prize. If we haven't heard back within 7 days of first contact, we reserve the right to redraw and select an alternative winner.

8. Delivery

The prize will be delivered free of charge to one UK [mainland] address, normally within 14 working days of the winner confirming their delivery details.

9. Photos — an optional ask

We'd love to see the bowl in its new home. Sending us a photo is entirely optional and is not a condition of receiving the prize.

If you do send one, you're giving Edensteel permission to use it on our website, social media and marketing material. We'll credit you by first name only, unless you'd rather we didn't name you at all.

10. Publicity

The winner's first name and county will be announced on Edensteel's social media. If you'd prefer not to be named, let us know and we'll keep it to initials. The name and county of the winner is available on request by emailing sales@edensteel.co.uk within one month of the draw date.

11. Your information

Details you give us are used only to run this draw and award the prize. If you enter by subscribing to our email list, you'll be added to it and can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email — unsubscribing after the closing date won't affect your entry. We won't sell or pass your details to anyone else. See our privacy policy.

12. Facebook, Instagram and Meta

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram or Meta. By entering, you release Meta from any responsibility in connection with this promotion. Any questions, comments or complaints should be directed to Edensteel, not to Meta.

13. General

The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms, or to cancel or withdraw the promotion, where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make that necessary. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

By entering, you confirm you accept these terms and conditions.

Why corten steel works in a garden of any size

Corten weathers rather than rusts through. Left outside, the surface oxidises into a dense russet patina that protects the steel beneath it, so a piece that arrives raw and silver/grey settles into deep orange-brown over its first few months and then holds that colour. No painting, no treating, no annual once-over.

That patina is why it suits such different gardens. The colour sits behind planting complementing not competing, so a single trough works as hard in a four-metre courtyard as a run of modular planters does across a large terrace. And because the steel carries its own structure, the pieces can be thinner-walled and less bulky than the equivalent in stone or timber - which matters enormously when you're short of space.

While a courtyard benefits from fewer, taller objects to draw the eye upward, a large garden needs weight and repetition.

A commercial space has to survive the hustle and bustle of a busy working day.
